In 1990 an experiment made at Palma University – Italy that included the mapping of a monkey’s brain by MRI. While the animal was attempting to break some nuts, a researcher came inadvertently to the room. He noted that while the monkey was still in the machine, it tried to find the nuts, break and eat them.

The arrival of Barack Obama to the White house a year ago opened a window of hope in the Muslim world, among the Palestinians as well as in the Israeli peace camp. This euphoria seemed, at the time, quite realistic given the fact that the Bush administration’s approaches to deal with the problems of the ME had miserably failed.
