"The Jasmine Birds" by Syrian director Sulafa Hijazi was awarded on Thursday 04th of  March the golden prize of the Egyptian Culture Ministry at the 20th Cairo International Film Festival for Children.

*My love for my homeland and its rich culture and heritage was the greatest inspiration for my album “Echoes from Ugarit”
Award- winning composer & pianist Malek Jandali is the first Syrian musician to sign a record deal with Virgin Megastore and recently has released a number of music videos for his works from his latest album “Echoes from Ugarit” which was based on the oldest music notation in the world!

Last summer, a six-week photography workshop invited 24 young people from Syria, Palestine and Iraq to bring their perspectives to issues affecting their region. The participants addressed issues including identity, gender equality, children’s rights and integration. Thousands of photos emerged, many of which were exhibited in galleries in Damascus and London.
